Convert a value, mean, and standard deviation into a z-score. Or convert a z-score back to a value.

Runs entirely in your browser.

METHOD / LOCAL RUN
Standardize a value as z = (x − μ) / σ, or invert: x = μ + z × σ. The result reports the standardized score in one direction and the source value in the other.
Boundary: Assumes a normal distribution. Not robust to outliers.
The calculation or transformation runs in your browser using the values entered above. No input is sent to UtilityForge for this tool.
EXAMPLES / LOCAL RUN FIXTURES
FAQ
No. The z-score calculator runs entirely locally.
The workbench states the exact method behind every result — the formula or procedure this page runs — so you can verify the computation instead of trusting a black box.
No. This workbench runs in the page: Mode, Value (x), Mean (μ), Std dev (σ), z-score are read by the code your browser already downloaded, and UtilityForge receives neither the values nor the result.
