Is an account required for the free tools?

No. Every local workbench runs in your browser without an account.

Does a paid plan remove ads?

Paid pages show no advertising on any plan today, and they never show the first-party Pro promotions either. Free pages may show a labelled UtilityForge promotion — same-origin, no third-party ad network. No third-party advertising is active, so this is not something you are paying to remove: the plan flag exists so that if third-party advertising is ever approved, paid accounts are excluded from it from day one.

Do my saved tools need a subscription?

No. Favorites, recent workbenches, run counts, your own collections, and presets are written to this browser and work without an account. A paid plan does not unlock saving — it decides whether those records are also stored on your account and merged between devices, and only after you switch sync on in the dashboard.

What exactly leaves my device when sync is on?

Workbench names you saved, the collections you built, the run tallies and recents, your chosen “keep results current” preference, preset inputs for local workbenches, playground environment names, and redacted history rows. Never a tool output, a request body, a header, a query string, or a value for a secret-named environment variable. “Delete my account copy” in the dashboard removes it all, and the store rejects oversized or credential-shaped records before writing.

What happens when I hit the live-data ceiling?

The request returns a rate-limit notice with the retry window, and nothing is sent to the provider. The ceiling is tracked per signed-in identity, with a shared per-IP limit for visitors without an account.

How does cancellation work?

Cancel any time from Account → Billing. Access continues until the end of the paid period; PayPal confirms the cancellation by webhook.

Who processes payments?

PayPal. UtilityForge never sees or stores your payment credentials.
